The Perfect Summer Dress

I splurged and bought the Alivia Dress fro Lilly Pulitzer for my senior breakfast and it is one of my favorite pieces in my closet! It is such a comfortable dress and the style is so classic and will never go out of style! I love how Lilly released more seersucker this summer and the lace and seersucker is just so perfect! I loved wearing this for my senior breakfast and I wore it to my cousins graduation as well. I loved it for all the graduation festivities but I think this dress can be worn for tons of different occasions!

I wore my KJP Simply Pearlfect necklace and my Hazen & Co Minnie bracelet. I also wore my favorite gold Palms Sandals.

Thank you so much for reading this  blog post! I had so much fun taking all these photos and I am so excited to share them with you! If you would like to see anything specific on the blog please let me know!

Get to Know Me! · Life Lately

Life Lately | Volume 4

It has been a while since I have written a life update blog post so I thought now would be the perfect time to sit down and write one!

I have been working a lot this summer which has kept me busy but I have also had some free time to have some fun! For the 4th of July my family and I headed to the beach to watch the fireworks and have a picnic. It was so fun! I have always loved the 4th, mainly because I love being able to wear all my red, white, and blue! If you want to check out the details of my outfit from the fourth you can read my blog post! On July 3rd, my family and one of my closet friends went to a fireworks show and I wore this white t-shirt with my denim shorts and a red bandanna! I loved how the outfit looked and it was so comfy for a fun night!

I have also been doing LOTS of college prep! I met my roommate last week and we have been planning our dorm room out! It has been so fun collecting everything for our room! I am starting to get VERY excited about college in the fall and I can’t believe move in is in a month! I can’t wait for a new chapter in my life to begin! I have a couple college related blog post ideas that I will hopefully have published soon so keep your eyes open for those!

With the end of the summer quickly approaching (which by the way… I can’t believe how fast summer is flying by!!) so many brands are starting to release their first fall collection and I have been loving everything that I have seen! I put together some of my favorite items that I have seen for all of you to check out! picture2-e1531176632886.png

Navy Polo Dress | Anchor Sweatshirt | Denim Skirt | Navy Gingham Ruffle Top | Madeline & Co Backpack | Pink & Green Jumpsuit

The new KJP Polo dresses are so adorable! I love all the colors but I think the navy one might be my favorite! I think these dresses will be perfect for so many different events/activities! I also am in love with this KJP Mint sweatshirt! I love the anchor detailing on the neckline!

I have been wanting a denim skirt for a while now and I finally found one that I liked at American Eagle! I can’t wait to wear it! I also saw this adorable top at J.Crew factory and knew I wanted it! I can’t wait to wear it the remainder of the summer/in the fall!

Madeline & Co recently released their new 2018-2019 line of backpacks and they now offer customization. I love how you can now make your backpack unique to you! I am currently debating whether or not I am going to splurge and get a new backpack this year or if I will continue to use my L.L. Bean one.

Lilly Pulitzer recently released their first collection of their new fall 2018 line and I love all the pink and green. I am not going to lie… there are a few pieces that I don’t love but I am normally more of a fan of the spring and summer lines. However, I do think this jumpsuit is so cute! It is so simple but I feel like you can totally dress it up or down!

I have had my summer playlist on nonstop lately and I have been loving all the new music that has been coming out this summer, especially the new Shawn Mendes album that was released at the beginning of the summer! I put together a list of some of my favorite songs for you to check out if you are interested!

Thank you so much for reading! I have so many exciting blog posts that I can’t wait to put together for all of you! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Summer Sundays

When I saw Lilly Pulitzer promote this romper on their Instagram I immediately knew I wanted to buy it and I am so glad I did! I love wearing rompers in the summer because they are so easy to pull on and they are so comfortable! This one is no exception! I love the colors and of course, the tassels are so cute!

I wore this romper with a pair of white tassel earrings which I made (you can find the DIY here!) I also wore my favorite knock-off Jack Rodgers that I talk about a lot but you can find them here!

Thank you so much for reading this blog post! I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you are all having a great summer so far!

My Go To Summer Romper

A couple weeks ago my family went up to Winston Salem, North Carolina to celebrate Fathers Day. We had so much fun and my favorite part was definitely dinner at Burger Batch. I ordered the mac & cheese and a peanut butter and chocolate milkshake and I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I love wearing rompers during the summer because of how easy they are to style and they are always super comfortable! This black off the shoulder romper from Loft is super cute and comfy but unfortunately it is from last year and its not available anymore. However, I put together the links to some similar ones at the end of this blog post!

Happy Fourth of July! | My OOTD

Happy July!

I can’t believe that July is actually here… the summer is going by WAYYY to fast! But I do love the Fourth of July because of all the red, white, and blue! As soon as this Lauren James off the shoulder top was released I immediately knew that I wanted it to wear this year for all the fun festivities! This top is seriously so comfortable and I don’t have any trouble moving my arms or worrying about making sure the sleeves aren’t falling. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough!

In these photos I am wearing my favorite white denim shorts from Old Navy, my favorite necklace from KJP, my bracelet is also from KJP, and my knock off Jack Rodgers are from Shoe Show. I made my earrings and if you want to make a pair you can check out my DIY Tassel Earring blog post here!

I hope you liked this blog post! I had so much fun taking all the photos! I hope you all have a happy and safe 4th of July!

Stripes & Sunflowers

I recently went to a sunflower field and although some of the sunflowers were starting to die I still had so much fun taking photos! Unfortunately, my dress is from Loft from a couple years ago but I linked a couple similar ones at the end of this blog post! I love how easy it is throw on during the summer! Plus it is so easy to dress up or down! My bracelet is from an adorable jewelry company called Hazen & Co. I couldn’t recommend the company enough! Everything is absolutely adorable!

My Experience As A JLB High School Ambassador

One of the most asked questions I get asked on Instagram are related to the Jadelynn Brooke Ambassador program. I love answering them so please feel free to keep the questions coming but I also wanted to put together a blog post recapping my experience with the program. I have officially graduated from high school which means I have “graduated” from the program but I will be applying for the college program in the fall!

I first heard of Jadelynn Brooke my sophomore year of high school and started following them on Instagram (this is before my blog or blog Instagram) and shortly after finding the company I learned that they had an ambassador program. At this time I had no clue what an ambassador program was and honestly, I didn’t have much of an interest in applying. But at this time I found myself starting to follow tons of bloggers on Instagram and I loved seeing all their photos. Some of these bloggers ended up inspiring me to start a second Instagram at the beginning of my junior year. As I started to post more and more on my new Instagram account I found my small JLB collection growing pretty quickly and their items quickly became some of my favorites! When the spring applications were released for 2017 I knew that I wanted to apply to the program for a couple reasons, I genuinely loved the company and wanted to be apart in it any way that I could and I had so many opportunities to learn about social media and photography! I knew I would have the ability to be as creative as I wanted and I would be able to share the amazing JLB company with family, friends, and all my new social media friends!

I filled out my application and a few short weeks later I got the acceptance email. I was ecstatic! I had never done anything like this before and to be 100% honest, at the time I was super frustrated with my high school (senioritis hit early for me…) and I just really wanted something new! After receiving the acceptance email other reps (new and returning) started to contact me and some of those girls as now some of my best friends! I loved being able to look forward to photo shoots each weekend!

I had the privilege of continuing as a rep as well as a mentor for 2 more semesters and this program has definitely been the highlight of my high school years! I met girls who had similar interests as myself, had hundreds of fun photo shoots, and totally stepped out of my comfort zone with this social media “thing”. I am so grateful for this opportunity and can’t recommend the program enough to anyone interested in applying! I honestly don’t know if I would have started this blog if I had never been in this program because the girls who I have met are so incredibly talented and inspired me to take my Instagram to a whole new level! I have always loved photography but with this program I found a whole new love for blogging/social media and I probably wouldn’t have experienced without it.

From being a rep to a mentor and being able to help new reps love this program as much as I do, I am sad to say I am no longer a high school rep but I can’t wait to apply for the college program in the fall! I get DMs all the time from people asking me how they can get accepted to the program because they want free clothes, and my response is always that if you are applying to get free stuff you are applying for all the wrong reasons. The experiences and friendships were what kept me coming back each semester and I am so grateful I did!

I also want to give the entire JLB team a huge thank you for everything you have done for me the past three semesters! I never would have imagined that I would be doing what I am doing now and I absolutely love it!

When I started writing this blog post I reached out to my Instagram followers to see what questions y’all had about the program so here are all my answers/opinions!

What does Jadelynn Brooke look for in a rep?

The girls at Jadelynn Brooke looks for tons of different types of girls who embody the Jadelynn Brooke brand and who are just as HAPPY and excited about the brand as the JLB girls themselves!

Do you need to own Jadelynn Brooke products to apply?

This is one of the most asked questions and although you don’t have to be an active customer to apply and be accepted I personally feel like if you are going to promote something on your social media you should be a fan of the brand, which normally means being a customer. However, if you don’t own any JLB don’t be discouraged! I highly recommend sharing your love and passion for the brand on social media even if you don’t have any JLB gear!

What is the process of applying like?

In order to apply to be a JLB ambassador you have to fill out a pretty simply application. You will answer questions about your school, your hobbies/interests, extracurricular activities, and why you think you would be a good rep. In your application talk about YOU! I know it can be weird telling someone all your accomplishments and activities because you don’t want to brag but when working on your application don’t be afraid to list your accomplishments! You should be proud of everything you have done!

What is your favorite part about being a rep?

My favorite part about being a rep is definitely all the people that I have met! I have met so many amazing girls through the program who live all across the country and it has been so fun! Being able to talk to girls from North Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Florida, even girls living in South Carolina close to where I live! It is so nice knowing that I always have someone just a phone call away if I need them!

Are you more likely to be selected if you are a previous rep than a new applicant?

I wouldn’t say so… I think that everyone has an equal chance during the application process!

Does follower count play a big goal?

From what I have seen, follower count does not play a big role. Make sure you are interacting with your followers frequently and that you are a JLB lover! I also recommend making your account public, at least just through the application process so that Jadelynn Brooke can see your posts!

I hope you found this post helpful if you are wanting to apply to the High School Ambassador Program! I am so excited to finally be publishing this post! If you have any questions that I didn’t answer in this post or you just want to chat about the program please feel free to reach out to me at any time! I love chatting with y’all!
